Tracing the Wound

Dear Reader

There’s been a persistent tension in my lower back for two years now.

Not loud. Not disabling. Just… always there.

I’ve tried acupuncture, bodywork, movement, breath. They all helped — but nothing really touched the center of it.

Yess, my regular practice of Qi Gong supports me a lot to find balance in strength, flexibility and keep the fluids running...

And,

two weeks ago, I joined a workshop in Berlin. The title: Tracing the Wound.

We worked with color — not art, just perception. We were asked to feel into color. Not with our minds — with our hands.

There were no cards. Just paint.

We stood in pairs, each of us listening, sensing, and intuitively painting directly onto each other’s bodies.

I focused on my lower back, as an experiment from a place of curiosity. The first color that came was black. Then red. Then blue — a deep, dark, almost oceanic blue.

When I landed there, when the color touched that exact spot… something shifted.

It wasn’t pain in the usual sense.

It was like a door opened — and something underneath started moving.

A slow surge of emotion.

A raw, energetic wave pushing from the inside.

And then, nausea.

Not the kind that feels "I’m sick".

The kind that says you’re finally feeling something real.

I stood there, breathing. Not analyzing.

There was no story, no memory attached. Just the overwhelming sense that something long-held was being touched — seen — for the first time.

Not pushed. Not released. Just… contacted.

The colors were clearly triggering something underneath my skin.

And even I guide Humans every week

through patterns of pain, resistance and blocked emotions

it felt so real to witness my own pain pattern shifting into something

else just by a deep blue color on my skin.

That’s the thing about somatic therapy. Sometimes the body doesn’t cry. It churns.

It trembles.

It gets hot.

Or still.

Or nauseous.

Not because something’s wrong — but because something old is surfacing.

I’ve had moments of emotional release before, and this felt different.

It didn’t come from emotion first. It came from energy.

And that energy had a shape. A color. A place.

That spot — dark blue, deep, and quiet — is what I now call my wound center.

Not because it hurts.

Because it holds something essential.

And every time I touch it now, even lightly, I feel more of me.

And again, I remembered:

Everything is energy.

Chronic pain, stored emotions, even the nervous system itself — it all speaks in sensation.

That’s why I now integrate color and intuitive sensing into my 1:1 sessions.

Clients often find access to old memories, tension, or emotional layers just by choosing a color and placing it on the body. No words needed. The body knows.

It’s one of the gentlest forms of somatic therapy I’ve seen — with the intention to trace and not to fix the wound.

So don’t be surprised if, during your next session, you find a few colors waiting beside the mattress — Curious which color your body will choose to trace its wound?

Do you want. to explore that deeper? Read my full article "Tracing the Wound: How Somatic Healing Begins Where Words End"

"Soft Touch" De-Armouring, routed the Gaia Method all help the body unwind and show us the deeper layer beneath the discomfort.

It’s not about fixing. It’s about meeting what’s already there.

If you’re navigating your own physical tension or emotional stuckness — especially in areas like the lower back, shoulders, chest, or hips — and you’re curious how somatic techniques like this might support your journey…

You’re invited.

I’m opening a few new spots this month for 1:1 sessions and keen to explore the colorful theme Tracing the Wound.

Soft touch, Energy Work, and intuitive sensing — no pressure, no fixing.

Sometimes the body just needs a witness.

Someone to feel it with.

Till next week
